I was driving in my car the other day... thinking about the bazillion things I had on my mind, my to-do list, what i've got done, what i need to get done, business ideas, gift ideas, etc... you get the point. I'm sitting here thinking, how in the world do I have time to get
all this done? I took a big deep breath and turned up my radio. This song was on. It hit me. It was exactly at the point in the song where he says

And it hit me. I needed to hear that. I'm so caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holidays, owning a business, and trying to make everything/everyone happy and everything run smoothly, producing my best work and getting everything I possible can done, I need to slow down... before I realize it was yesterday and I didn't take the time to invest in personal relationships. And of course the graphic designer in me inspired me to look at the simple things in life, that don't worry, don't fret, they just exist. I've come to realize nobody has a deadline for me, its just me beating myself up because I'm not meeting my own unrealistic deadlines. I always think I can cram so much into a days work, that just physically is not possible. So here's to a new year of organization, time management, and making my business and my clients have the best of me.
So for now, I'm off to finish making gift tags for my family's gifts, and placing those special ribbons on them, because family is where its important. They are my support system and my rock! Merry Christmas to all! I'll be back tomorrow to post a special Christmas card I got in the mail... designed by yours truly! :)
